Make a rap duet with a friend using portraits or a group photo, with costs explained before you start.
Want to put yourself and a friend into the orange studio from the Hotel Lobby video trend? The idea is a short rap duet inspired by Quavo and Takeoff’s “Hotel Lobby” performance. Your starting material can be two portraits taken separately or a photo you are both already in.
Migos AI lets you choose the two people, arrange their performance roles, and generate a clip from the built-in template. Here is how to prepare the photos, budget for generation, and find the finished video.
We’re the team behind Hotel Lobby AI.
Choose the people in your video
Upload a portrait into each performer slot, or select Use a group photo instead. With a group photo, move and resize the two frames over your chosen people, then select Use these two people. You can make those selections inside the tool without preparing separate crops first.
Each selection should show the intended person clearly. If someone is tiny or partly hidden in the group shot, use a separate portrait; enlarging a crop cannot restore missing detail. Uploads can be JPG, PNG, or WebP, up to 10 MB each. Choose photos you have permission to animate.
Set up the duet
Choose who appears on the left and right, then assign Lead and Support. For a video with a friend, you might take the lead while your friend reacts beside you. Swap positions exchanges sides while keeping each person’s role.
Keep your first direction simple. An optional performance note could be:
The lead faces the camera. The supporting performer nods along beside them.
Roles and notes guide the performance, but they do not provide precise control over who mouths each lyric. A new generation can also change details beyond the setting you edited.
Stay in Hotel Lobby mode to use the built-in template. Choose a section and output format; the default is Standard, 720p, 12 seconds, and 9:16. Separate modes accept your own audio or reference video. Using your own audio is a different workflow and does not automatically preserve the template’s choreography.
Know the cost before generating
A Standard, 720p, 12-second Hotel Lobby AI generation costs 10 credits. On September 30, 2026, the pricing page listed these one-time options:
- Single: $9.90 for 10 credits, covering one generation at those settings.
- Duo Pack: $29 for 50 credits, covering five such generations. That works out to $5.80 each if all 50 credits are used this way; the upfront purchase is $29.
Generation requires paid credits. Model, resolution, and duration affect the quote. Budget for attempts: a completed clip is charged even if you dislike the result, and another version costs additional credits. For a confirmed generation failure, reserved credits that have not expired return to your balance.
Submit the video and follow its progress
Once your photos and settings are ready:
- Select MAKE OUR RAP VIDEO and sign in if prompted.
- If your balance is too low, choose a credit pack or plan. The form shows the estimated credit cost; check the purchase total before paying.
- Review the generation quote, including the model, duration, format, and credits. Select Generate with the displayed credit amount to submit the task.
- Follow the task’s status in the studio, or return to My Videos to find it later.
The final quote is the amount to use when deciding whether to proceed. If you change the settings, update the quote before submitting.
Watch and download the finished clip
Watch the whole video with sound. Look at both faces during movement, whether the two people follow your intended arrangement, and how the mouth movements fit the audio. Listen to the beginning and ending too: a short clip should feel complete enough to share.
Download the completed paid video as an MP4 from My Videos, before the expiry date shown there. Open the downloaded file to check playback before sending it to your friend.
For a personal duet, the useful starting point is simple: two recognizable people and one short performance idea. Hotel Lobby AI brings photo selection, role settings, a generation quote, and saved results into that workflow.
